The Festival

When a group  of like-minded individuals decided Ripponden was lacking a community event for Christmas they decided to do something about it!

Ripponden Christmas Market was born.

Now heading towards its 4th year, the Christmas market has gone from strength to strength: Starting with just 20 stalls in year one, year two saw 40 stalls ranging from cakes to gifts to deli foods, and variety of delicious hot food and drink stalls too. Live entertainment, a vintage tractor parade and Father Christmas all contributed to making the event such a huge success!

After its first market, the festival made a group donation of £1000 to St Bartholomew’s Church in Ripponden which was used to improve the path leading to the entrance of the church.

In 2017 a total of £2000 was Donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

In 2018 we donated £2000 to Ryburn United Football Club

The nominated charity for this years event is yet to be decided, watch this space….
